A beautiful pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 1800s adorned with two teardrop cabochon garnets weighing approx. 3.7ct each. Both appear dark but glow crimson-red and cherry-pink when they catch the light.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing red and pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s long been considered a stone of the heart and symbolic of passion and enduring love.
The stones are bezel set in a 15ct gold gallery with a spiralling border that hangs from three engraved leaves above. They look wonderful dangling from the ear and are in excellent condition.
We recommend you insure for £1,995. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale
