These fabulous antique Victorian Paste earrings are Circa 1900.
2 Paste stones drop down in each earring, each stone is cut to perfection.
The earrings are foiled backed and set in Silver Gilt with Gold wires.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The bottom Paste drop is 1.60ct in size, the top Paste stone is 1.30ct in size.
Set with beautiful detailing around the stones.
