A sweet antique late Victorian bar brooch modelled in 18ct gold with a fabulous, scrolling heart in the centre decorated with gleaming white seed pearls, blue sapphires and pink rubies which line the heart and the tips of the bar. 

The contrasting combination of red, white and blue has been a favourite throughout history with each stone bringing its own unique properties. Ruby is said to be a stone of passion, blue sapphire a stone of wisdom and pearls a symbol of purity. 

It would make a beautiful gift for a loved one and is complete with its original red leatherette box with blue velvet interior and the maker’s signature “Watchmaker and Jeweller” stitched on the underside of the lid.
